Description

Dayliff DS 77 submersible pumps are designed specifically for borehole water supply applications.

Dayliff DS 77  Pump Construction

These pumps are made from stainless steel with water-lubricated rubber bearings. A submersible motor is fitted beneath the pump, and suction done through a strainer between the pump and motor.

Motor

The pump is connected to a sealed, liquid-cooled, 2-pole asynchronous squirrel cage motor made of stainless steel. This motor requires a remote starter, and in cases where unstable supply voltage may occur, it is advisable to include an additional quick-tripping control relay. It is important to note that due to the low starting torques associated with submersible motors, the use of Direct-On-Line (DOL) starters is recommended. For thorough pump control, including protection against low-level motor overload and irregular power supply, a DAYLIFF SCT electronic pump controller is suggested.
